Winter Special Bajra Gond Laddoos are a wholesome treat packed with nutrients, perfect for keeping warm during the colder months. Made with nutritious bajra flour and gond, these laddoos are not only delicious but also provide a boost of energy. The rich flavors of nuts and the natural sweetness of jaggery make them an ideal snack for winter festivities.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 80 grams bajra (pearl millet) flour
- 30 grams gond (edible gum), roughly crushed
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 30 grams jaggery, grated
- 10 grams almonds, finely chopped
- 10 grams cashews, finely chopped
- 5 grams dried coconut, grated (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
Procedure:
- Heat a pan on low flame. Add the crushed gond and roast until it puffs up and turns golden brown. This will take about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In the same pan, add ghee. Once hot, add the bajra flour and roast on low to medium heat until it turns a light golden color and gives off a nutty aroma (about 5-7 minutes). Stir continuously to avoid burning.
- Once the flour is roasted, add the roasted gond, jaggery, chopped almonds, cashews, grated coconut, and cardamom powder. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Remove the mixture from heat and allow it to cool slightly, until it’s comfortable to handle. Grease your palms with a little ghee, take small portions of the mixture, and roll them into small balls or laddoos.
- Place the laddoos on a plate and allow them to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
