First aid kit-the small and easily accessible way of medication should be there with everybody, be it in cars, home, purse. A first-aid kit is a savior when in a helpless situation. - Band-aids: In a first aid kit there is a band-aid which is used to cover any cuts or wounds. Band-aid sticks onto the skin and it has the properties to heal the cut.
- Cotton balls or Cotton: Cotton balls are provided to clean the blood out of the wound and also are used as an applier for medicine before bandaging. Cotton is directly used on the wound, so it should be covered properly in a clean wrapping paper, so it doesn’t catch any germs.
- Bandages: A bandage is used to support the dressing done on the wound, so it does not fall out. There is a difference between band-aid and bandage as a band-aid is used to cover a small piece of cut or something minor, whereas, a bandage is used when someone has a larger wound where dressing of it is needed and the bandage is applied.
- Crepe-bandage: This is another type of bandage which is used to cover the area that is paining. After applying a pain relief spray or pain relief ointment, crepe bandage is used to cover the particular body part as it provides heat which is needed to cure the pain, especially in cases of ligament tear or minor sprain.
- Painkillers: Some of the basic needed medication is for pains and painkillers come in every form in the form of sprays, ointment and also pills. The painkillers should have the manufacturing and expiry date and should be taken under some medical supervision.
- Pills: A first-aid kit should have some commonly needed pills such as anti-biotic, antipyretic pills, indigestion pills or others like few chewable pills for nausea is also necessary.
