A new research said, “People suffering from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease may benefit from regular exercise and replacing high-calorie beverages with decaffeinated green tea.”

Hepatic steatosis which is also known as the problem of fatty liver happens when an amount of fat builds up in the liver. A build-up of minor quantities of fat in your liver is common, but a lot of fat in the liver can turn out to be a serious health problem.

The researchers found out that regular consumption of green with the combination exercises minimise the obesity-related fatty liver disease by 75%.

Joshua Lambert, Associate Professor of Food Science at The Pennsylvania State University in the US said that this disease has become a significant health problem worldwide and is predicted to go downhill.

As various risk factors like obesity and Type-2 diabetes are speedily making its place in the life of the people, fatty liver disease is estimated to trouble more than 100 million people by 2030. There are no authenticate therapies available to cure the disease.

Though the trial of this study is still untested on humans, the researchers are pretty sure that this combination of green tea and exercise will relieve people suffering from fatty liver disease by removing the lipid deposits in their livers.

Researchers said that consuming green tea extract and exercising can make the body to process nutrients differently which further can solve the problem of fatty liver disease. He said, “We think that the polyphenols in green tea interact with digestive enzymes secreted in the small intestine and partially inhibit the breakdown of carbohydrates, fat and protein in food.”

Symptoms of fatty liver

Various doctors said that in a lot of cases, people generally do not found any noticeable symptoms of this disease. Various common symptoms include tiredness, discomfort and pain in the upper right side of your abdomen.

Fatty liver can further cause complications like liver scarring. Liver scarring is also known as cirrhosis and includes symptoms like:

  • Fatigue

  • Limit your alcohol intake
  • Eat plenty of nutrient-rich diets that should be low in calories, saturated fat, and trans fats
  • Exercise at least 30 minutes daily
