Over 15 lakh people have been screened across the country for coronavirus. Around 10.2 lakh people have been screened in the villages of Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim bordering Nepal.
About 25,000 people have returned from countries affected by coronavirus and have been advised isolation at home and district surveillance officers are constantly taking an update on symptoms of the disease, if any.
Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said, under the travel advisory, existing visas including e- visas will stay suspended for Iran and China. He advised Indians to avoid non- essential travel to China, Korea, Iran, Singapore, Italy. He also admitted that to tackle the situation, 15 new laboratories have been made operational.
Two cases confirmed in India- one in National Capital Region and other one in Telangana. One more positive case is suspected of an Italian tourist in Jaipur, confirmation is awaited. The person from Delhi had travelled to Italy, he is being diagnosed at RML Hospital. The other person with the coronavirus infection from Telangana has travel history to Dubai.

The Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament on Monday became the latest sporting event to be affected by the novel coronavirus outbreak, pushed from April to September in the wake of the deadly disease which is spreading across the world.
