Pandemic coronavirus continues to create chaos across the world. With the spike of positive cases on a global level, the epidemic has become unstoppable and creating wreak havoc in every corner of the world. More than 2,00,000 confirmed cases and over 8900 deaths in 114 countries due to the COVID-19 has been reported till now.
To prevent the spread of Coronavirus, India has suspended all the visas and put a restriction on travelling. Recently PM Modi addressed the nation and he orders one-day curfew nationwide in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Modi said in the address to the nation “the curfew on Sunday from 7 am to 9 pm would test the giant country’s ability to take tough measures against a growing crisis.” The measure would be “in the interest of the country to follow and prepare us for future challenges”, Modi added.
The public is gradually getting worried due to the increasing number of positive cases and deaths from coronavirus and due to which a rush on stores that provide basic food items and vital supplies has been noticed and people are stocking up the foods items so that they won’t have to suffer from the lack of basic necessities. Not only this, over the past few weeks schools, colleges, gyms, nightclubs, theatres and other social centres has been closed in the city.
Modi’s 29-minute address said, “no international flights would be allowed to land in India for one week starting Sunday.” Every people have to focus on social distancing and almost everyone has to stay at home till 31st March.
Here’s the latest news on COVID-19 in India
- As per the records of Union Health Ministry, a total of 166 cases confirmed in India out of which 141 are Indians and the rest 25 are foreign residers. 15 have been cleared, three have died.
- The government has cancelled the existing visas and advised the people not to go travel abroad to stop the spread of COVID-19.
- PM Modi said to follow social distancing and keep away from crowded places as much as you can.
- India restrict the incoming of 26 Pharmaceutical tablets like antibiotics, vitamins and hormones like Paracetamol, Tinidazole, Metronidaxole, Vitamins B1, B6, B12, hormone progesterone.
- People who have been brought to India are getting screened and those are positive are putting into isolation.
- PM said that citizens above the age of 65 and children below the age of 10 should remain at home.
