Guacamole Toast is a vibrant and satisfying dish that brings together creamy avocado guacamole and crispy toasted whole-grain bread. With fresh ingredients like tomato, onion, and cilantro, this toast offers a delightful combination of textures and flavors, making it a perfect snack or light meal.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 50 grams (1 small) diced tomato
- 50 grams (1 small) diced onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 slices whole grain or multigrain bread
Procedure:
- Scoop out the avocado flesh into a bowl and mash it with a fork until smooth.
- Add lemon or lime juice, minced garlic, diced tomato, chopped red onion, and cilantro. Mix everything together and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toast the slices of bread until crispy and golden brown.
- Spread the guacamole evenly over each slice of toasted bread.
- Serve immediately. Optionally, garnish with extra cilantro, a sprinkle of chili flakes, or sliced jalapeños for added flavor.
