Strawberry Granita

Strawberry Granita is a delightful, icy dessert that captures the essence of fresh strawberries. This simple yet elegant treat is perfect for warm days and can be enjoyed as a refreshing snack or a light dessert.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 100 ml water

Procedure:

  • In a blender, combine the chopped strawberries, honey, lemon juice, and water. Blend until smooth.
  • If desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds for a smoother texture.
  • Pour the strawberry mixture into a shallow dish or baking pan. Place it in the freezer.
    After about 1 hour, use a fork to scrape the mixture, breaking up any ice crystals that form. Return to the freezer.
  • Continue to freeze and scrape the mixture every 30 minutes for about 3-4 hours, or until the granita is fluffy and light.
  • Once ready, spoon the granita into bowls or cups. You can garnish with fresh strawberries or mint leaves if desired.
