Chamomile tea can easily be prepared in just a few minutes by boiling its flower in some water. To prepare this tea, all you have to boil 2 tablespoons of chamomile flowers in 1 cup of water. Once done, strain and sip! You can consume a cuppa of this tea post-dinner regularly for effective results.
  • Ashwagandha blend: Ashwagandha (Indian ginseng or winter cherry) is famous for its significant medicinal properties. Ashwagandha is extremely beneficial in treating stress and anxiety. It is packed with essential nutrients and compounds which help in promoting sleep. In addition to this, this super ingredient can assist in reducing the symptoms of depression and reduce your blood sugar levels. You can consume it by making a tea out of it, boil in some hot water and sip or you can also consume it in the form of moon milk. Moon milk is a traditional way to treat insomnia and can easily be prepared by boiling milk, Ashwagandha, cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg together.
  • Honey turmeric latte: Turmeric contains a compound known as curcumin and can treat sleep deprivation while boosting the quality of sleep. It also helps in eliminating stress and anxiety. On the other hand, milk contains tryptophan and helps in increasing the levels of melatonin (a hormone effective in regulating the sleep cycle) in the body. To prepare this drink, all you have to do is take ½ cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of turmeric and let it boil properly. Now, take ½ teaspoon of honey and mix it the drink. Adding this drink in your bedtime ritual will provide various health benefits along with a sound sleep.
