Yami Gautam Shares Insights About Importance of Good Health

As the pandemic continues to stretch leaving a sigh of misery and no future affirmations, Yami Gautam is happy to resume work. The actress recently is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film, which will release on an OTT platform soon. In a latest interview, she revealed that while people were paying extra attention to their health and especially, their immunity amid the COVID-19 pandemic, she was battling health issues since last year. The actress shared that a severe bout of dengue, as well as a neck injury, had caused her immunity to dip drastically. She admitted that in a bid to appear in a certain way, she started cutting down on eating and working out rigorously, which caused severe strain on her health.
Now, she confessed that she has realised the importance of good health and gives enough time to her mind as well as physical well-being. She added that while it was essential for actors to look a certain way, it was their work that was most important.
During the lockdown, the actress kept herself busy by indulging in several favourite hobbies. From gardening and reading to cooking and sketching, Yami made sure that spent her time productively. She baked her own gluten-free bread that she shared a photo of on her social media. She also tried making homemade scrubs to keep to her beauty regime. Taking DIY to the next level, she also tried hands at making her own coconut oil at home. She mentioned in the caption the importance of creating essentials from the limited resources available during such difficult times and encouraged to continue doing it even after things normalise.

She motivated everyone to take up an activity, be it “painting, cooking, dancing, yoga, workout, playing a sport (while staying indoors) or anything that u love… let it connect with your soul… (there’s) nothing more therapeutic than it … We are all in this together… it’s a long journey and let’s support and encourage each other in building stronger emotional health.”
