Healthy and Refreshing Drinks for Halloween

We are all set for Halloween’s trick-or-treat! Whether you are planning a Halloween party or staying closer with a family-only bash, you will need healthy and refreshing drinks to kick up your feet and laze! We have cooked up a Halloween mocktail menu so that you can ease up on the spooky and creepy festive fun. And, because there is such a thing as too much sugar, we have found healthier options that are amazing for the trick-or-treaters.
HALLOWEEN PUNCH:
A three-ingredient mocktail, Halloween punch is a super easy blend of ginger, carrot and orange juice.
- Pour orange juice carrot juice and ginger ale in a large bowl
- Stir well and add a bag of ice.
- Garnish it with some spooky looking gummy bears, worms and you are good to go!
POTTER PUMPKIN JUICE:
Halloween is all about making pumpkin-related stuff. This harry potter inspired pumpkin juice is a warm serving. Its gluten-free, vegan juice, which is on the healthier side. To make this you will need, pumpkin puree, unsweetened apple juice, apricot juice, squeeze of lemon, pie spice and sweetener.
- Mix all the ingredients together in a pot.
- Let the mix simmer on the stovetop for about 15 minutes, so that all the flavours deepen together.
- Add about 1/4 -1/2 cup of sweetener (preferably honey or maple syrup).
- Serve it warm.
BLOOD BEETROOT MOCKTAIL:
Beetroot is one of the healthiest vegetables. It helps in reducing fat, rich in fibre, a great source for Vitamin-C and has other health benefits. For making this spooky red beetroot mocktail, you will require, raw beetroot (grated), lemon juice, caster sugar and a bag of ice.
- In a bowl stir together the beetroot, lime juice and sugar
- Put it inside the fridge for at least 1 hour
- Stir occasionally to dissolve the sugar
- Pour the mixture through a sieve into a large jar, to take out the pulp
- Serve it with 2-3 cubes of ice.
BLACK CURRANT CORDIAL:
An easy recipe for a refreshing mocktail, that is super pleasing for the trick-or-treaters around your neighbourhood. You will require simple ingredients like caster sugar, juice of lemons and black currants.
- Put jaggery in a large saucepan with water.
- Bring it to simmer then add lemon zest followed by black currants.
- Cook the mixture at medium heat until black currants soften and burst.
- Pour the mixture through the sieve into a container
- Transfer in sterilized bottles
- Serve the cordial with water, and dilute to taste.
This classic cordial can be stored in the refrigerator for about 1 month.
GINGER-LEMON WITCH HOT BREW:
Ginger infused in lemon with a little spice of black pepper brings out the spookiest flavour in the cold chilly winds of Halloween. Simple to make hot serving requires ginger ale, squeezed lemon and a pinch of black pepper.
- Pour water in a saucepan and let it boil for about 5 minutes.
- Add mashed ginger ale in the saucepan.
- Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Pour it through a muslin cloth in small cups.
- Add a few drops of lemon
- Add a pinch of black pepper.
- Serve hot.
