Choco Banana Bites are a simple yet delicious dessert or snack, combining the natural sweetness of bananas with the rich flavor of dark chocolate. The peanut butter adds a creamy, nutty layer, while the chopped nuts give a delightful crunch. These bites are a perfect way to enjoy a guilt-free, quick treat with minimal ingredients.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 150 grams sliced banana
- 40 grams dark chocolate (70% or higher cocoa content)
- 2 teaspoons peanut butter (natural, homemade)
- 1 teaspoons chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts for garnish)
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
Procedure:
- In a microwave or using a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate along with the coconut oil until smooth and glossy. Stir occasionally to avoid burning.
- Spread a small dollop of peanut butter (about 1/2 teaspoon) on top of each banana slice.
- Dip the banana slices into the melted chocolate using a fork or spoon, making sure they are fully coated. Place the chocolate-coated banana slices on a parchment-lined tray.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts on top of the coated banana slices for extra crunch and flavor. Place the tray in the freezer for 20-30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
- Once set, the Choco Banana Bites are ready to enjoy! Store any leftovers in the freezer.
