Winters are beautiful for some and devastating for others. Well, it is a natural phenomenon. Let us all embrace it with some healthy winter tips.

Staying active and healthy in the winter season can be quite challenging. The gradual drop in the temperature and cold wind can make anyone sick, especially if your immune system is not strong. Falling sick can be very annoying and can hamper your work for days. But can you confine yourself within four walls during winter months? No right!

This is where self-care during winter days comes to your rescue. Just by following some simple self-care tips can make you brave and help you fight against the cold easily.

  • Turmeric milk
  • Many of us have a habit of drinking tea and coffee to keep our body warm during the winter season. But these drinks do not help you that much. So give up on your caffeinated drinks and include healthy turmeric milk in your plan. Drinking turmeric milk every day helps keep you safe from nasty flu and cold. You can add some savoury spices like cardamom powder and cinnamon powder in your drink to make it more effective and beneficial.

  • Massage
  • Massaging your body with rich essential oils like mustard oil or sesame oil can help you keep your body warm and fight against the cold weather and also keeps your skin smooth and soft. You may massage your skin with the oil before heading into the shower in the morning or maybe before going to bed. Massaging also relieves stress, calms your mind and also improves your sleep quality.

  • Frizzy and dry hair is yet another common problem during the winter season. The cold and dry wind takes away all the good moisture from your hair.   • Our digestive system is not that strong during winter as it is during summer. So, try to avoid cold food this season.
