Our health and performance are affected by the Nutrition we have. A healthy and balanced diet incorporating all the vitamins, minerals, protein, and carbs will have a positive effect on your performance and health, on the other hand, a poorly structured diet with the deficiency will have a negative effect. Deficiencies in various nutrients have different negative symptoms which will take a toll if not rectified soon. Today we’ll look at how nutrition affects your health and performance and what is the ideal way to progress and develop with minimum resistance.

Following a bad structured diet will make your body be in a deficit of important nutrients which will take a toll on your muscles, joints, and mind thus affecting your performance. Having the surplus amount of fats in your diet will result in weight loss and start blocking your arteries with cholesterol deposits which will, in turn, decrease your efficiency by making the body obese and overweight. It may also increase the chances of chronic heart-related diseases and when accompanied by habits such as smoking and drinking it amplifies the symptoms and increases the chances thus jeopardizing your health.

What can we do for proper balanced Nutrition?
Now that we know that Nutrition plays an important role in health and performance it becomes a priority to take care of our Nutrition. Following are some ways to improve your Nutrition:

  • Incorporate an adequate amount of protein to help your muscles repair after a workout (highly recommended).
  • Get your body enough carbs to get you through the day and keep it limited. If you are overweight then remember the amount of calorie intake should be less than the number of calories consumed.
  • Have omega-3’s in your diet which will help improve general health by decreasing risks of chronic heart diseases.
  • Incorporate all the vitamins and minerals in a balanced state.
