India May Get Its Third COVID Vaccine Soon with Russia’s Sputnik V

Sputnik V, an effective COVID vaccine will soon get approval from the Subject expert committee (SEC) for Emergency Use Authorisation in India. Developed by Gamaleya Research Institute and the Russian defence ministry, this vaccine claims a strong immunity. The vaccine named after the Russian satellite, Sputnik V. the studies showed that the vaccine is one of the most effective in the world, providing an efficacy of about 92%.
How does this vaccine work?
Two doses of Sputnik V are extremely important to get effective results. There are no major side effects of this vaccine, however, some people experienced fever after taking this vaccine but it can easily be treated by taking paracetamol.

The trials of this vaccine are being conducted in India to evaluate the results of the vaccine on the Indian population.
