Oats and Roasted Capsicum Soup

Oats and Roasted Capsicum soup is a relishing recipe which you can enjoy at any time during the day to provide you with tangy tinge and flavor.

Oats are rich in dietary fiber which helps in better digestion and also they provide you with energy. Tomatoes are rich in fiber, potassium, vitamin C and Antioxidant levels. Tomatoes are rich in choline which is said to have a positive effect on heart diseases. Tomatoes also contain a considerable amount of folate and vitamin k.

Ingredients

  • 20 grams rolled oats
  • 20 grams Red capsicum
  • 20 grams tomato
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
  • ½ teaspoon dry red chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper as per taste

    Method

  • 1. Firstly chop red capsicum and remove seeds from them.
  • 2. Put some oil in a pan and roast the capsicum for about 15-20 minutes and keep aside.
  • 3. Then Put some oil is saucepan and add bay leaf, finely chopped garlic and cook for few minutes.
  • 4. Then add rolled oats, tomato in the pan. 1 cup water and bring to boil.
  • 5. Then add Roasted capsicum and add water or vegetable broth to adjust consistency and bring to boil.
  • 6. Add salt, pepper and red chili flakes and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  • 7. Serve hot.
