Paneer Veggie Balls are a delightful and nutritious snack that brings together the richness of paneer with the freshness of vegetables. These bite-sized balls are seasoned with aromatic spices and cooked until golden brown for a crispy exterior and soft, flavorful interior. They make a perfect appetizer or light meal when paired with a side of green chutney or yogurt dip.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 100 grams paneer
- 50 grams grated carrot
- 50 grams chopped onion
- 1 chopped green chili
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
- 1 tablespoon whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon oil
Procedure:
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add the grated carrot and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Stir in turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine crumbled paneer, the cooled vegetable mixture, chopped coriander, and whole wheat flour.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. The mixture should hold together. If it’s too dry, add a small amount of water. If too wet, add more whole wheat flour.
- Divide the mixture into small portions and roll them into smooth balls.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a little oil and place the paneer balls in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve the paneer balls hot with a side of green chutney or yogurt dip.
