Coconut water with Sabja Seeds

Coconut Water with Sabja Seeds is a refreshing and nutritious beverage perfect for hydration, especially during hot weather. The slight sweetness of coconut water combined with the unique texture of sabja seeds makes for a delightful drink that is both cooling and revitalizing.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 400 ml coconut water (approximately 2 medium coconuts)
  • 2 tablespoons sabja seeds (basil seeds), soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped mint leaves (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Procedure:

  • Rinse the sabja seeds under cold water, then soak them in water for about 30 minutes until they swell and become gelatinous. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pitcher or bowl, combine the coconut water and soaked sabja seeds.
  • If desired, add lemon juice for a zesty flavor and stir well. You can also mix in chopped mint leaves for extra freshness.
  • Pour the mixture into glasses. Add ice cubes if you prefer a chilled drink. Serve immediately and enjoy!
