Jamun Raita

For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 150 grams fresh jamun (black plum)
- 200 grams plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black salt
- 1/4 teaspoon regular salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Procedure:
- Wash the jamun thoroughly, remove the seeds, and chop them into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the plain yogurt until smooth and creamy.
- Add the chopped jamun, roasted cumin powder, black salt, regular salt, and chaat masala to the yogurt. Stir gently to combine, being careful not to mash the jamun too much to maintain some texture.
- Let the raita sit in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired. Enjoy it as a refreshing side dish with your meals!
