Oats Panna

For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 40 grams rolled oats
- 120 ml water
- 120 ml plain yogurt
- 120 ml chopped mint leaves
- 120 ml chopped coriander leaves
- 50 grams finely chopped cucumber
- 50 grams finely chopped tomatoes
- 1 small finely chopped green chili
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black salt (kala namak) or regular salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1 tablespoon chopped onions
Procedure:
- In a bowl, combine the rolled oats and water. Let them soak for about 10-15 minutes until the oats absorb the water and become soft.
- While the oats are soaking, chop the cucumber, tomato, green chili, and herbs.
- After the oats have softened, add the yogurt, chopped mint, coriander, cucumber, tomato, green chili, and onions to the soaked oats. Mix well.
- Add the lemon juice, roasted cumin powder, black salt, black pepper, and chaat masala to the mixture. Stir everything together.
- For a refreshing touch, chill the Oats Panna in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving.
Garnish with extra chopped mint leaves or a sprinkle of roasted cumin powder before serving.
