The Tangy Tonic

For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 240 ml water
- 120 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish
Procedure:
- Squeeze the juice from fresh lemons into a measuring cup, straining out any seeds and pulp.
- In a medium bowl or pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, ground turmeric, ground ginger, and black pepper.
- Add the water to the mixture and stir well until the honey or maple syrup is fully dissolved and all ingredients are combined.
- If you prefer a cold drink, refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes. Alternatively, serve over ice cubes.
- Pour the tangy tonic into glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
