The Green Baked Spinach Chakli is a healthy and amazing recipe to try your hands upon. Made of gram flour, it has ample health benefits and this delicious. Baked Spinach Chakli is a healthy snack option to relish at home with a cup of tea or to carry along in a long journey.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 60 grams rice flour
- 20 grams besan
- 30 grams fresh spinach leaves (blanched and pureed)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon ajwain
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 2 teaspoons ghee
- Salt to taste
- Water (as needed)
Procedure:
- In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, chickpea flour, sesame seeds, cumin seeds, carom seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Add the spinach puree and ghee or oil to the mixture.
- Gradually add water to form a smooth, soft dough. Ensure it’s not too sticky or dry.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease a baking tray or line it with parchment paper.
- Fill the dough into a chakli maker with a star-shaped nozzle. Press out the dough onto the baking tray in a spiral shape to form chaklis.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure even baking.
- Once baked, allow the chaklis to cool completely for a crispy texture. Serve as a light, healthy snack with tea or any dip.
