Wholesome Multigrain Laddoos are nutritious and delicious treats made from a variety of flours and healthy ingredients. This recipe combines whole wheat, rajgira, besan, and oats, creating a hearty snack that is perfect for energizing your day. Naturally sweetened with jaggery and enriched with nuts and dried fruits, these laddoos are not only satisfying but also a wholesome indulgence.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 40 grams whole wheat flour
- 20 grams rajgira flour
- 20 grams besan
- 30 grams rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1 tablespoon jaggery
- 10 grams chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, cashews)
- 10 grams dried fruits (e.g., raisins or chopped dates)
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- A pinch of salt
Procedure:
- In a pan, heat the ghee over medium heat until melted. Add the whole wheat flour, rajgira flour, besan, and rolled oats. Roast the mixture, stirring continuously, for about 5-7 minutes until it turns a light golden color and releases a nutty aroma. Be careful not to burn it.
- Add the grated jaggery to the roasted flour mixture, stirring well until it melts and is evenly distributed.
- Incorporate the chopped nuts, dried fruits, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
- Remove the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly. Once it’s cool enough to handle, grease your palms with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small, round laddoos.
- Place the formed laddoos on a plate to set. Let them cool completely before storing in an airtight container
