  • Vitamin D is produced by the body in response to skin being exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D is needed for strong bones, because it helps the body use calcium from the diet.

Myth: Vitamin D has no role to play in asthma
Fact: Vitamin D may help ease asthma symptoms for obese children living in urban environments with high indoor air pollution.

  • A factor that may contribute to depression is a person’s dietary habits, which will determine the nutrients that they consume. More refined and processed foods often lead to mood swings and anxiety.

Fact: Poor nutrition is one of the most significant causes of depression.
