Whole Wheat Spinach Pancakes

This vibrant Pancakes blend whole wheat and oats flour with a nutritious green paste made from spinach, peas, and coriander. The mixture is seasoned with turmeric, cumin, and red chilli powder to create a flavourful, wholesome pancake. Cooked to a crispy perfection, these pancakes make for a delicious and healthy meal option.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients
- 30 grams oats flour
- 30 grams whole wheat flour
- 60 grams chopped spinach
- 30 grams peas (boiled)
- 15 grams chopped onions
- 15 grams chopped tomato
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 pinch asafetida (hing)
- 1 green chili, chopped (optional)
- 1 sprig coriander leaves (chopped)
- 2 teaspoons oil
- Salt to taste
Procedure:
- Take peas, spinach leaves, boiled peas coriander leaves and green chilies and blend them to form a green paste.
- Then take whole wheat and oats flour in a mixing bowl along with green paste and all the ingredients.
- Add water to this and prepare the batter of normal consistency.
- Heat oil in a pan and spread a ladle full of batter over the pan.
- Lightly and gently spread the batter by the back of the ladle so that the pancake does not break.
- On a low medium flame cook the pancake. Drizzle oil on the pancake and all around the edges.
- Cook the pancake evenly from both the sides as well. Fold and serve hot and warm.
