Cancer is the most common disease worldwide. In this disease, the cells first grow uncontrollably and then spread through the body parts. The most common cancers are breast cancer, prostate cancer, oral cancer, and lung cancer.
It is caused when the DNA changes, it can be due to many factors either lifestyle or just genes. Having an unhealthy lifestyle can put you at the risk of developing cancer. Excessive body weight, poor physical activity, alcohol or tobacco consumptions all put you at a higher risk of this disease. It is not contagious which means, it can’t be transmitted from an infected person but can be developed through your negligence.

Here Are Few Guidelines That Ministry Of Health Shared:
1- Stay Away From Tobacco & Alcohol- consuming alcohol and tobacco in any form can increase the replication of cells and cause damage to DNA. limit your consumption as much as you can.
2- Eating a Healthy diet-intake of green and leafy vegetables and seasonal fruits can bring antioxidants to your diet, helping to build immunity and fight infections. Avoid having too many processed and sugary foods as they can cause inflammation in the body.
3- Protect Yourself From Environmental Pollution- pollution from the outside can bring pollutants to the lungs as you breathe and increase the production of carcinogens.
4- Get Vaccination For Hepatitis-B- the hepatitis-B vaccine can prevent liver cancer as it prevents Hepatitis-B which affects the liver.
5- Stay Physically Active & Maintain Healthy Weight- physical activity is important as It will increase your energy levels and build immunity. It also improves mood which promotes good mental health and no stress. Obesity can bring more diseases than you can imagine. Increased weight can increase some hormones which act as a medium to develop cancer.
6- Maintain Personal Hygiene- good hygiene can stop the growth of bad bacteria and decrease the risk of infection hence reducing the risk of cancer.
7- Regular Screening For Early Detection Of Cancer- cancer can be cured if it is detected early, regular screening will help for the diagnosis of any symptoms or developing cancer.
8- Self-Examination For Breast Cancer- you can check for any lumps by the pressure of your finger pads. Self-examination can help detect breast cancer at early stages and help cure it.
It is important to look after yourself for a better quality and quantity of life. Following these guidelines can improve your way of living and also, protect you from many diseases including cancer.
