Moon Milk

Moon Milk is a soothing, golden-hued drink that combines the warmth of milk with a blend of spices known for their calming and health-promoting properties. Infused with turmeric, ashwagandha, cinnamon, ginger, and a hint of saffron, this drink is designed to relax and comfort, making it ideal for winding down before bedtime.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 300 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ashwagandha powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- A pinch of black pepper
- A few saffron strands
Procedure:
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it’s warm but not boiling.
- Stir in the turmeric powder, ashwagandha powder, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Let the milk simmer gently for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld. Avoid boiling.
- If using saffron, add the strands to the milk just before serving and let it steep for a minute.
- Pour the Moon Milk into mugs and enjoy warm.
