On The Initiative Of Mansukh Mandaviya, Ministry Of Health To Offer More Nutritious Food In The Canteen Of The Ministry

Food is an integral part of our life, from serving us with energy to being a celebratory necessity it serves us many purposes. Consuming healthy and nutritious food can improve our quality and quantity of life. Keeping all this in mind, the Union Health Ministry restructured its food menu to promote the intake of healthy and nutritious food among all.
Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya is a fitness freak for sure. He is often seen following a good fitness regime by exercising regularly and also cycling to the parliament. He usually cycles about 20km every day to stay healthy. He said that according to our scriptures and scientist, our food is our medicine and it’s important to adopt good eating habits in life.
The right food can make us fit and the wrong food just makes us fat. Or maybe there’s nothing life wrong-food, it is just the wrong place and wrong timings. Eating junk and fried food every day will definitely lead us to an unhealthy path. And having fried food options at the workplaces will leave us with no alternative than consuming it.
The Union Health Ministry replaced fried food items from their menu, with healthy options to promote good health in their workers. Fried foods are not good for your health, they can be enjoyed once in a while but in the long run, they can bring a lot of ailments. Samosas, bread pakoras, and other fried items are switched to more healthy options like dal chilla with pea stuffing, healthy curries, millet rotis, millet pulao, Ayurveda khichdi, and ragi sheera. The samosa filling is replaced with raw banana stuffing, it gives them a different taste and is healthy too. The response is good and people are looking forward to healthier options if this continues, more dishes would be added soon.

Health ministry is trying its best to make healthier choices in their workplace. We all can walk on the same path too and become a better version of ourselves internally and externally. As we read now, fried foods are not a healthy option for daily consumption and must be replaced with non-fried snacks. Even the meals should be nutritious and tasty to attract people and motivate them to switch their lifestyle.
