Beany Barley Soup is an amazing and highly nutritious soup bowl to try your hands upon. Made with the goodness of barley, it is the perfect dish to be incorporated in your routine diet.

Ingredients –
- 20 grams tomato
- 20 grams onion
- 10 grams barley
- 10 grams chickpeas
- 1-2 green chilies
- 40 grams spinach
- Ginger garlic paste
- 1 Teaspoon of red chili powder
- 1 Teaspoon of coriander powder
- ¼ teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 spring of curry leaves
- 1 cup vegetable stock
- Salt and pepper as per taste
- Fresh coriander for garnishing
- 5 grams olive oil

Method –
- Take a sauce pan heat some oil cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger- garlic paste, green chilies and onion.
- Wait for the onions to turn translucent and add all the spices.
- Then add chopped tomato, spinach into it and simmer on low flame until the tomatoes are soft.
- On the other hand boil chickpeas and barley in a container till they become tender.
- Now, blend this tomato mixture to form a smooth paste and transfer it to the sauce pan.
- Add tomato mixture,barley and chickpeas followed by vegetable broth and water to adjust consistency. Bring to boil for 5-8 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander. Serve hot.
