Egg Tikka

Egg Tikka is a flavorful dish where boiled eggs are marinated in a spiced yogurt mixture and then lightly fried until golden. This protein-rich meal combines the tanginess of yogurt with aromatic spices, making it a quick, tasty, and nutritious dish.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 4 boiled eggs, halved
- 100 grams plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil or ghee
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Lemon wedges for serving
Procedure:
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, cumin, coriander, garam masala, chili powder, and salt.
- Marinate the Eggs: Add the halved boiled eggs to the yogurt marinade, gently coat them, and let them sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Cook the Eggs: Heat olive oil or ghee in a pan on medium heat. Place the marinated eggs in the pan, cut side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly crispy. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with lemon wedges. Pair with flatbread or as a side dish.
