Ginger Jaggery Tea

Teas are known for their medicinal value and we all know what relief they give us. Ginger Jaggery tea plays a role in healing, and thus this tea can be consumed during illness or just when you are feeling low.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 450 ml water
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
- 2 teaspoons jaggery
- 1 tea bag/ 1 teaspoon tea leaves
- 120 ml milk
- 1-2 whole cloves
- 1 small cinnamon stick
Procedure:
- In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the sliced ginger, cloves, and cinnamon stick to the boiling water. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
- Add the tea leaves or tea bag to the simmering water. Let it steep for 2-3 minutes, or until the tea reaches your desired strength.
- Stir in the grated jaggery and let it dissolve completely.
- Adjust the amount of jaggery to your taste preference. Add milk to the tea and let it heat through. Do not let it boil after adding milk.
- Strain the tea into cups to remove the ginger, tea leaves, and spices. Serve hot.
