Fenugreek Soup

Fenugreek Soup is a light, healthy soup made with fresh fenugreek leaves, onions, tomatoes, and spices like cumin and turmeric. It’s low in calories, uses minimal oil, and has no added sweeteners.Fenugreek is rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, helping with digestion, boosting immunity, and supporting heart health. The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties make this soup a nutritious and healing option for overall wellness.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 50 grams fresh fenugreek leaves (methi), chopped
- 50 grams onion, finely chopped
- 30 grams tomato, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp oil for cooking
- 500 ml water
Procedure:
- Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add onions and cook until golden brown, then add tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Stir in turmeric, black pepper, and salt. Add the chopped fenugreek leaves and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add lemon juice before serving and adjust seasoning as needed.
