Group Workout Vs Personal Workout- Know What’s the Best

When it comes to doing physical activity and working out, finding you why it is important is extremely vital. It is not a cakewalk for many to hit the gym regularly. It is like a battle for many to get up, get ready, eat clean and not just behave like a couch potato! One of the greatest thing about hitting the gym is knowing that you are not alone in your struggle. There’s support from other gym-goers and gym enthusiasts that motivate you even more. So, we have enlisted the pros and cons of which type of training is correct for you and how you can gather benefit from it.

  • Motivation—

We all know how difficult it is to get up from your bed and push yourself to workout. Even if you manage to wake up and hit the gym, you may work out just for a bit. So, forming a per group in your gym classes can help you by pushing you to train harder. Seeing other people working out and getting results to make you feel more competitive and inspire you to get fit physically. However, if you work out alone there is a lack of competitiveness and motivation.

  • Affordability—

Group fitness classes are usually more affordable. If there are 5-8 of you, your gym trainer can make a living wage without having to charge much from you. You can also take more classes than one-on-one sessions with the same amount of money. Another plus point is that you can stick to these workout sessions for a long time because it does not make a hole in your pocket. If you work out individually, the gym usually charges higher.

  • Easier Learning—

When you work out in groups it allows you to work out faster. There’s no need to worry about your instructor staring at you, while you try to catch up with others. It also becomes easier for you to catch up as you see running examples in front of you.

  • Customised moves—

When you work out individually, you can explain your trainer your areas of concern and goals. Your trainer will focus on the best movements to help you reach your goals and rehabilitate any injury you have. Personal training initiates tailored workout for you. The same does not happen in the case of group workout sessions.

  • Attention—

When you have a personal trainer, they will provide you with undivided attention during workout sessions. The trainer has his/her full focus on you and your postures. This usually leads to better results. But in the case of group sessions, his/her attention gets divided.

  • Accountability—

Your trainer becomes accountable when it comes to your body shape after you hit the gym. Your trainer will make sure that you are eating right, and that you are still working out on days you are not hitting the gym.

OVER TO YOU:

If you are someone who is planning to get in shape and hit the gym, you must consider above-mentioned one pros and cons. So, what type of workout you will wholly depend on your personality, needs and wants. Whatever you choose is your preference, make sure that your choice suits your attitude and it is achievable.
