Mixed Tangy Bhel

Mix Tangy Bhel is a classic Indian street food that combines puffed rice with crunchy roasted chana dal and fresh vegetables, all dressed in tangy and spicy chutneys. For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 50 grams puffed rice
  • 30 grams roasted chana dal
  • 50 grams finely chopped onion
  • 50 grams finely chopped tomato
  • 50 grams finely chopped cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons coriander chutney (homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind chutney (homemade)
  • 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Procedure:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the puffed rice, roasted chana dal, and sev.
  • Add the finely chopped onion, tomato, and cucumber to the bowl.
  • Drizzle the coriander chutney and tamarind chutney over the mixture. Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and salt to taste.
  • Gently toss all the ingredients together to ensure they are well combined and evenly coated with the chutneys and spices.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
