You always promise yourself that you would wake up at 6AM and go for a run, but then you find yourself waking up at your usual time. Ditching is a part of life, from putting an end to a toxic relationship to preferring apples over burgers, we all ditch someone or something. Whenever we ditch something, more often than not we do it to awaken ourselves. In order for something to happen, we need to come out of our comfort zone which can come in handy for our future.
FOODS TO AVOID ON AN EMPTY STOMACH
Such is the case with our morning habits wherein we eat things that we’re not supposed to, let’s take a look over these habits;
- Alcohol: – Whether you missed yesterday’s party or you’ve been craving alcohol for days, it shouldn’t give you any reason to have it on an empty stomach. Alcohol ingested on an empty stomach can cause stomach lining to disrupt, moreover, it gets absorbed directly into bloodstream which can cause serious problems.
- Yogurt: – While it’s true that yogurt is one of the best sources of pro-biotics available out there, it might not be the best option for an empty stomach. Yogurt creates hydrochloric acid when consumed on an empty stomach which kills the lactic acid bacteria altogether which ensues in acidity.
- Bananas: – They’re optimum choice before your workout just make sure you don’t workout at early mornings. Bananas are loaded with potassium and magnesium which can hamper with your heart health.
- Tomatoes: – There’s no doubt tomatoes are known for their lycopene, and vitamin C content, but they might not be an ideal choice for an empty stomach. These too if consumed on an empty stomach create acidity as they are high in tannic acid.
- Fruit juices: – Now this could be tricky for many people as lot of us have been told that fruit juices are excellent choice for good nutrition, while this may be true in some of the cases, fruit juices are not an ideal choice for an empty stomach because fiber content is lost when we make juices due to which sugar(fructose) present in fruits is rapidly absorbed which could result in blood sugar spike. Furthermore, it’s always a better choice to eat whole fruit than fruit juice as we get plenty of beneficial soluble fiber and more nutrition.
