If you are trying to shed off a few pounds by missing on the number of meals you eat on a daily account then we are profusely sorry to inform you that you’re completely being counter-productive. We know you want to look flawless on your D-DAY but is it really worth starving yourself? Not really! Skipping meals can not only make you hungrier which further leads to gain weight but it can also cut out the important nutrients from your diet that can dull your sparkle and energy levels. We understand that during the prep and various functions you might forget about eating food. But not anymore!
Here are some important tips that can help you in skipping meals.
- Eat frequently, smaller meals throughout the day rather than skipping meals. Add more of fresh vegetable juices, fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds in your diet to keep up with your appetite.
- Always keep a snack around like yoghurt or home-made granola bar to hold you over until your next meal. This gives you proper energy and nourishment while saving you from overeating.
- Eat snacks that are rich in protein and fibre. They will keep you full longer. Breakfast is the best time to incorporate high protein food! You can consume omelette, eggs, sprouts, sauteed veggies with quinoa to keep yourself fit and fine.
- Plan your meals in advance to save a lot of time. Planning beforehand gives you proper time to cook your meals and to enjoy your wedding rituals.
- Set an alarm to ring at lunchtime as you will be running around all day so that way you won’t skip your meal.
Over to you:
Skipping meals is never a good option! Sorry to bang that tedious drum, but quick fixes aren’t the way to lose the weight, everything in moderation plus exercise is a much better strategy. Keep yourself hydrated and eat 5-6 smaller meals in a day to keep yourself well-nourished and hydrated.
