The lifestyle people are a fan of, is a sedentary lifestyle. People are either too focused on their work or they are just too helpless to include movement. A desk job can make us sit all day, and forget about our health. Sitting for long hours can be so dangerous to our health that it can cause serious illnesses like heart disease, cancers, respiratory problems, osteoporosis, etc. Not enough movement often degrades our level of well-being, taking us towards the path of many lifestyle disorders. But if you are helpless to include movement in your daily routine, then the following is a good read for you.
Here Are Some No-Brainer Ways To Move More Throughout The day:
- Get Up For A Glass Of Water: refilling your glass of water every hour can include more movement, and drinking more water will make sure you pee more, which gives you a lot of bathroom breaks. Make sure that you walk towards the kitchen or pantry, refill the glass and not the bottle, to move frequently.
- Park The Car A Few Blocks Away: parking your car away from the building will somehow force you to walk to the building or even a grocery store. Also, using a means of public transport and standing through the commute is a great way to include movement and stay fit.
- Opt For Stairs: ditch the lift and opt for stairs, always! You cannot even thank the stairs enough for the amount of movement they can provide you with. This can be a great way to move more, as you can often choose to use the washroom of other floors, or travel to other floors for leisure.
- Walk Before and After Your Meals: always try and walk before meals, have your lunch away from the desk, try having your meal on other floors or outside the office. Also, walking after meals can aid digestion and improve blood sugar levels, whereas sitting will only lead to obesity.
- Do The Chores On Your Own: doing chores can be a tedious task but it surely burns a lot of calories and keeps the body moving. Chores like washing the dishes, doing laundry, cooking, and cleaning the house can help incorporate a lot of movement.
- Dance In The Shower: dancing in the shower can make you feel more positive and awake, of course with an increased amount of movement. Try dancing along with the chores too, this way you will enjoy the activity and burn even more calories.
