It is rightly said that a healthy mind stays in a healthy body. Exam season is around the corner and while you are preparing for your exams remember to exercise well to keep your mind active and healthy. Through exercise, a good amount of oxygen is supplied to your brain that further help in the relaxing your tensed muscles while keeping you stay motivated for the whole day long. It also helps in sharpen up your memory and can relive all of your stress by producing feel-good endorphins. Doing these quick exercises will make you stay active and focused, eliminate distractions and revitalizes your energy levels.
- Fun with Puzzles: As per various researches puzzles and games help in sharping out your brain in no time. Brainstorming during the time of puzzles helps in improving focus, sharpen up your brain and memory retention. There are two sides of your brain one is left side that controls analytical and logical thinking whereas the right side is responsible for promoting creativity. So, when you are busy solving puzzles like jigsaw puzzles, crosswords or Rubik’s cube, you are engaging both sides of your brain and provide a real mental workout to it.
- Meditation: While preparing for exams it gets difficult to relax the mind and the body with a mind full of thoughts. Meditation helps to make a way for a healthy mind and body as it relaxes and calms down your tensed muscles. Do practice meditation by closing your eyes in a comfortable sitting position and focus on your breath and say bye-bye to negative thoughts that can harm your study routine. Meditate for at least twenty minutes and get a charged up mind for successive hours of studies.
- Yoga: Instead of scrolling your mobile phones, practice yoga asanas that help in keeping your mind and body calm and relaxed to boost up your routine of study. Yoga improves concentration power, body flexibility and physical fitness of a person. For a better focus in your studies, practice these easy and effective yoga poses.
- Savasana: Lie down straight in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Now take slow and relaxed breaths. This asana helps in creating a balance in the working of your mind. Take out some time to practice this asana for at least ten to fifteen minutes.
- Big Toe Pose: This pose is really helpful in boosting concentration while giving a great stretch to the entire back of the body. Thus, helps in the relaxation of tensed body and brain muscles.
