To complete everything in the syllabus, students often lack sleeping and their eating habits go haywire which all the more turns out to be more stressful. The body needs a proper intake of food to work and mind too needs an adequate amount of food and sleep to relax and concentrate. As important as food and sleep, the mind needs to stay calm and relaxed which will help in better concentration. We have some yoga asanas that will help you boost your concentration during the stress hour which are as follows:

  • Tree Pose (Vrikshasana): This asana requires a lot of concentration as one has to balance on one leg and balance it without falling. You need to keep your hand in a Namaskar pose or facing them skywards.
  • Eagle Pose (Garudasana): This asana is also a balance asana, standing on one leg but in this, the body has to be twisted in a way that your legs and hands are overlapping each other. This asana improves your focus and coordination between mind and body.
  • Warrior III (Virabhadrasana III): This pose requires a lot of focus and concentration as the torso (upper body) stands parallel to the ground with one foot up. If you are not present mentally, you’ll fall, just like that in the matter of studies, one need to focus and not lose the gaze.
  • Dancer Pose (Natrajasana): This asana is named after the dancing avatar of Lord Shiva, Natraja. This asana helps the body to stay fit and improves flexibility. Nataraj asana clears the head of depression and stress and enhances blood circulation and is very rehabilitative for the spine.
  • Camel Pose (Ustrasana): This pose is a backward bend that resembles a camel’s posture when it sits. This pose reduces menstrual discomfort, activates your nerves, and reduces fat in the body. It stretches the whole body and leaves no muscle stretched. While studying for the exams, students sit for ‘n’ number of hours and to improve the body structure and relieve backache, digestion, Utrasana should be practiced.
