Here’s How You Can Plan a Daily Self-Care Routine

Scrolling the memes on social sites, posting pictures of our luxurious bath/eating as soon as we wake up becomes an integral part of self-care. But is it the correct way to self-care? When it comes to self-care, people always remain confused about where to start? Planning a daily self-care routine and strictly abiding by it is a difficult thing but you can easily start with the basics.

Here are some easy yet effective ways to practise some self-care.

  • First things first- plenty of water in the morning: Our body is often dehydrated when we wake up and hence it can lead to laziness, less energy which gives way to a crappy start to the morning. Starting your day rightly decides your mood for the rest of the day and hence makes sure that you consume at least 1 litre of water as soon as you wake up. You can also include lukewarm lemon water in your routine to keep yourself fit and active.
  • Add in some yoga and meditation: Doing some yoga and meditation is a great way to ensure self-care. Yoga and meditation help in de-stressing your mind while giving you time to relax and reinvigorate. Add some exciting and new ways in your daily workout to make it more interesting.
  • Chant some positive mantras in the morning: While we are all filled with negativity and low energy, chanting some positive mantras helps in boosting the mood while filling us up with optimism. Writing or chanting positive and happy mantras on a daily basis keeps you joyous and contented which uplifts your energy.
  • Pamper yourself with natural masks: Self-care can never be completed without adding some skin-care routine. Making some time to take care of your skin is a funny and interesting way to bid-adieu to your own negative thoughts. A lot of people think that self-care should be lavishing and expensive but it is nothing like that. Using natural and home-made masks can also work well to distract your mind from the negative thoughts while refreshing and refuelling you from the fresh ones.
  • Sleep well: Sleeping well is one of the great ways to de-stress yourself. Sleeping can bid adieu to all your worries while making you more active and fresh, the next morning. While you are sleeping, your brain itself gets rid of toxins, consolidates memory, and builds neural highways which uplift your mood and energy. 7-9 hours of sleep on a daily basis is extremely vital.
