Pre Holi Haircare tips:
- Apply oil on your hair or go for a head massage a night before, this will help to create a barrier against the colours. You can use a combination of coconut oil, castor oil and olive oil. Dry hair gets more damaged.
- Apply a leave-in conditioner or a serum on your hair. This will prevent your hair from getting damaged by the sun.
- Try and avoid keeping your hair open while playing Holi. Explore hairstyles like braided ponytail or wear head bandanas to protect your hair. Open hair hold more colors and chemicals could clog your hair follicles.
- In case you feel you have a sensitive scalp, apply a few drops of lemon juice. The citrus fruit will help to protect your scalp from any infection triggered by the toxic colours.
