Fruit Leftovers? Apply it on Skin to Get Natural Glow

Spending on hefty skin products might not be for all and might not suit all skin types and no doubt they contain harmful chemicals and can have a huge effect on sensitive skin. Also, you might be running out of your skincare products and not be able to get many of them soon during this pandemic situation. Did you know that pulpy fruits can do the same for your skin by adding that extra radiance that would be natural! The best part is you don’t have to be worried about not getting these.
Fruits are economical and easily available; also they can be stored in for a good number of days. Let’s get started with fruit facial:
- Banana
- Papaya
- Orange
- Mango
Banana is rich in antioxidants and vitamins and protects the skin from sunburn. It exfoliates the layer of dead skin cells, giving you a younger and fresh look. Mash ¼ of banana and apply it on the skin, leave for 10 minutes and wash it off. You can even add milk and make a scrub out of it. Banana leaves skin hydrated and softer while moisturizing it.
Papaya is a common ingredient of face masks and the enzyme ‘papain’ is present which directly acts on the skin and revitalizes skin cells. It erases the signs of aging and removes blemishes. Mash the papaya with pulp and apply on skin, you can even store it in the refrigerator for future use. Keep it for 10 minutes and wash off the face with water. It removes dead cells from the skin.
Vitamin C is not only a good immunity booster but also helps in retaining elasticity of the skin. Citrus fruits like oranges are full of it; it leaves you with a dazzling skin. Take 1-2 slices of orange and crush it with a spoon, extract the juice of it, and apply ion face using cotton. Keep it for 10 minutes and wash off the face with water. It improves skin texture and clears skin blemishes. Rubbing the inside peel of orange tightens the skin.
Mango is rich in antioxidants and Vitamin A. It is not only delicious to eat it in true sense it does wonders to the skin. It fights against the aging process of the skin and restores the elasticity of the skin. Just take a few pieces of fresh mango and mash it in a bowl with the help of a fork. Apply the mango pulp and you can even use cotton to soak the juice and can apply it later as well. Keep it for 10 minutes and wash off the face with water.
