The global pandemic has disturbed our total health like nothing else. While the youth has lesser chances to catch the virus as there immunity is strong but that does not stringent their immunity for the various consequences this unprecedented virus bring.
As per the global survey which is conducted between the age group of 15-24-year-old, the greatest concerns of the youth during these harsh and challenging times are education, employment and mental health. The mental health crisis has always been an issue during the pandemic. Due to the limited outings and not getting enough support, anxiety and stress have increased and more than 80% of the youth said that the pandemic has worsened their mental health while increasing their stress levels and anxieties. Not only this, but the time has also completely left them in isolation and makes them lonely than ever before which is taking a huge toll on their mental health.
Mental well-being is the basic matter of concern but the survey also emphasis on the other profiles that are quite bothersome to the youth. Concerns like employment and education are other factors that are disturbing the youth these days. As per the survey, a major number of youths are unemployed with distraction in the education system, employment and training. Various economists also said, “The two out of every five jobs vanished will never return.”
The huge disturbances in the education system can lead to long-term destruction while causing the imbalances in the mental health and employment of the youth. As per the World Bank, “the pandemic can cost $10 trillion in lost income over their lifetimes without determined and coordinated action from governments. “
The young generation is also concern about the less tangible effects of the epidemic. They are paying equal emphasis on the disturbing relationships with friends as much as they are worried about the low incomes and lesser job opportunities. All of these factors are majorly contributing to the bad mental well-being and can even lead to low productivity and more stress and anxieties.

- Incorporate healthy and nutritious food in your diet
- Disconnect yourself with the screen and incorporate more of home-based fun activities in your lifestyle
