Bollywood Actor Jacqueline Fernandes Talks about Anxiety and Yoga

Jacqueline Fernandez has come a long way in her career in Bollywood and established herself as one of the most talented actresses in the industry. She has not only made the audience fall in love with herself and her beauty but also won over them with her stellar on-screen performances.

She decided to give back to society on her birthday (August 11) this year. She adopted two villages in Maharashtra – Pathardi and Sakur – for three years. It involves looking after around 1,550 people, including caregivers and children, who will be screened for malnutrition as well.

In a recent interview, Jacqueline shared that she will be sponsoring food supplies for the villagers, many of whom suffer from malnutrition. “This has been on my mind for a while now. It has also been a difficult year for everyone due to the ongoing pandemic. Some of us have been lucky, but a section of the society has been struggling even for basic necessities,” she added.

The new responsibility taken up by her will involve awareness sessions for them. We plan to provide information and support to 150 women to enable them to take care of newborn babies, and seven frontline workers will be given training and on-the-job assistance.

The ‘Race 3’ actress had self-quarantined herself with Salman Khan, Iulia Vantur and others at his farmhouse in Panvel but she recently returned to the city. Reportedly she did so to be with a friend amid the on-going pandemic.

How yoga helped Jacqueline deal with anxiety?

While not much is known yet, the actor recently took to social media to reveal that she had been dealing with some major anxiety in the past few weeks. She shared a video of herself practicing yoga at home and wrote, “I have been dealing with some major anxiety these past few weeks… however being consistent with yoga has taught me the valuable lesson of being in the moment and what’s even more important… gratitude… for life and being alive… have a great day everyone! Namaste.”

Jacqueline had been enjoying her time away from the city as she explored her creative side by learning to paint and spending quality time close to nature.

She could take out the time to explore and enjoy things she otherwise couldn’t give time to due to hectic shooting schedules she had before lockdown.

Apart from exploring the artist in herself, she also caught up on her reading list. She teamed up with Salman Khan for a song ‘Tere Bina’ which they shot at the farmhouse itself as also did an at-home shoot for a publication.
