Covid 19 – 173.86 Crore Vaccines Have Been Administered So Far Under Nationwide Vaccination Drive

India is the second most populated country in the world, and hence the administration of vaccines can be a task for the government. Whereas, vaccines and precautions are the only ways to safeguard the entire world from the virus. The government is doing every bot to stop the widespread of Covid-19.
The daily positivity rate of Covid-19 cases stands at 2.45% in India. And the total cases go up to 4,27,23,558. Vaccines for children too were given from the month of January. From the latest reports, around 173,86 crore vaccines have been administered so far under a nationwide vaccination drive. It is an achievement for India that over 75% of the adult population are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

- Over 70% of children in the age group of 15-18 years have already got their first dose of vaccine.
- Administration of more than 46 lakh doses in a span of 24 hours.
- Uttar Pradesh has given over 16 crore first vaccine doses, making it a total of 26 crores.
- Maharashtra is on the second number, has administered over 15 crores vaccines.
- As per the state government, 100% of the population has got at least the first dose of vaccination.
- The health department in Jaipur has prepared an action plan to encourage people to get their vaccine shots.
- Women and child departments, Anganwadi workers are also giving their bit to get people vaccinated.
- Schools have been asked to create a positive attitude among children and organize vaccination drives for children.
- According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, more than 11 crore unutilized doses of vaccine are still available with the states and union territories.
- Over 24 lakh eligible adolescents have already been administered their second doses.
These numbers of administrations are huge for the country, in fighting the war against the virus.
Also, there has been a reduction of 13,824 in active cases of Covid-19, in the last 24 hours.
