Mask is the need of the hour now, you need to wear it even before stepping out of the house. It is one of the most useful things during Covid-19. A mask can protect you from being infected by stopping the spread of infected air droplets from an infected person. The air droplets in the form of breath sneezes or coughs from an infected person can be transferred to a healthy individual.
People often go for fancy colorful masks usually made of cotton fabric, to match with their outfits. Cotton masks can be washed and are more breathable too. Whatever the mask be, it must be well-fitted and a fresh one. Surgical masks are made of plastic and must be disposed after use.
The Right Way To Remove And Dispose Your Surgical Mask Is:
- Step 1- clean your hands with soap and water. Before touching the mask, your hands must be cleaned.
- Step 2- hold both of the ear lobes and gently lift to remove the mask. Avoid touching the front of the mask. Used mask can contain germs and therefore must be handled with precaution.
- Step 3- dispose the mask by wrapping it up and throwing it in the trash. Safely remove the mask and wrap it in a plastic bag to avoid contamination of other products in trash.
- Step 4- clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer. Again, after touching the mask clean your hands to kill any germs left.
As MyGovIndia says, the mask is your armour in the fight against Covid-19. Everyone should know about the proper usage, disposal, and reuse of the mask to fight the spread of the virus. Also, wearing a surgical mask does not increase the amount of carbon dioxide inside. If you feel suffocated, you can remove the mask for a few seconds in an open space but always wash your handa before and after touching the masks.
A surgical mask can also filter out any large particles when a person breathes in them. Make sure your mask is well-fitted, if not then you can tie knots. Face Masks combined with all the precautions and vaccines can help slow and even stop the spread of the virus.

Your protection is in your hands and in your mask as well. Always wear a mask when in public areas, wash or sanitize your hands and maintain social distance.
