Sania Mirza Shares a Glimpse about Her Weight Loss Journey

Indian Tennis Star Sania Mirza shared an inspiring post on social media where she shared her weight loss journey about how she shed 26 kgs in four months. She aims to make a comeback after a long layoff. 

Sania Mirza floored her fans with a motivational Instagram post where she urged fans to follow their goals tenaciously as she did her to lose weight after the birth of their baby. The famous Indian Tennis star and wife of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik posted about her inspirational pictures of weight loss in an Instagram post.

Mirza handled her parental responsibilities and post-partum body for two years before returning to the tennis court.

Motivating her audience to follow your dreams, the player told no matter how many people tell you you can’t because God knows how many of those we have around us, if I can then anyone can.

In October 2018, Sania Mirza gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Izhaan Mirza Malik. She has resumed tennis after a break of two years and she was hit with a knee injury in 2017 followed by a pregnancy, Sania Mirza has made her comeback after three years.

Sania Mirza went on maternity leave and underwent strenuous physical fitness to return to an optimal weight for a comeback.

In one of her interviews, Sania Mirza, a staunch advocate of women empowerment, said she believes that a woman should not forgo her ambitions even after embracing motherhood. Mirza talked about how motherhood was the most endearing thing that happened to her, but that too was not without its costs.

After the break, Sania recently returned to competitive tennis in style by winning the Hobart International title in January after defeating second-seeded Chinese duo Peng Shuai and Zhang Shuai 6-4, 6-4 in the final.

Three-time doubles Grand Slam winner Sania set a benchmark and came back to competition after a two-year hiatus, initially due to injuries and then welcoming her son in October 2018. She had to retire mid-way into her women’s doubles first-round match with a calf injury in the Australian Open but she’s back with a bang!
