In the very beginning, work from home may have given you a sigh of relief but down to approximately 1 year or so, you can’t deny that this routine is quite exhausting and drains out the energy levels while making you jaded and all fed-up. You might think about where your energy goes as you don’t even step a single foot out of the house! The complete disruption of the regular routine, house-hold work and lots of deadlines to meet are making us all stressed out and juggling between professional and personal life is making us more frustrated, drained out and tired.
If you too feel low on energy while working from home, then here are some easy hacks to try that will fill you up with a positive outlook, enthuse and energy.
- Make sure to not hit the snooze button: We all love to squeeze those extra 10 minutes by snoozing the alarm. But waking up early can naturally fill you up with energy and enthusiasm. When you wake up late, you don’t have time to start your day rightly and you directly move to your work and screen. An unhealthy morning routine plays a huge role in making you feel tired and dull. So, make sure you wake up early, invest a lot of time to freshen up properly to make your day bright and shiny.
- Start your day rightly: Staying inside the home all day long, negative news going around all the time and the altered way of living due to the pandemic coronavirus has not only filled us with bad vibes but also toss our routine off the track. Starting the day rightly by soaking in some sunlight and fresh air can help you in making your day shine and bright with a positive outlook. Open up your windows or go to the terrace with a glass of warm lemon water in one hand and see the magic. In addition to this, don’t skip your breakfast as it is one of the most important meals of the day and skipping it can easily make you feel grumpy and cranky.
- Give a warm welcome to light stretches: Indulging yourself in some light stretches before start working and sitting in front of your laptop is one of the great ways to reduce the stiffness in the tensed muscles and to lighten the mood. Prolonged hours of sitting can make you feel jittery, so, you can also incorporate some light neck and back stretches in between your work to divert your mind and to keep yourself all happy and healthy.
- Incorporate yourself in different activities: It is quite difficult to find leisure time while juggling between professional and household chores but giving yourself some time to relax and rewind can freshen up your mind, de-stress you and lighten up your mood. 30-45 minutes of reading, home games, puzzle solving with your loved ones can do wonders to your mental health and wellbeing.
