The Covid-19 virus has taken over our health, and peace and has become a scare because of its fast-spreading nature. The only way we can stop the spread is by being cautious and looking after our sound choices.
We often encounter situations where we have to step out in areas of widespread where there is a greater risk of infection. These spaces carry a high risk of contamination with them, the closed and packed spaces are not ventilated properly, and the people are either very close to each other or are not following the precautions. This can be a time of panic as the confusion as to what must be followed and what should be avoided surrounds us. The World Health Organisation tweeted about factors that can help you make safer choices when you are in the area of widespread Covid-19 transmission.
3 Factors To Help You Make Safer Choices When You Are In Area Of Widespread Covid-19 Transmission:
- Location- open-air spaces are safer than enclosed spaces, they can facilitate good ventilation and circulate fresh air, while stopping the spread of infectious air particles.
- Proximity- farther away from others is safer than close together as the infected air particles will not be able to reach a healthy person if we maintain enough distance. So, a distance of at least 1 meter should be maintained.
- Time- shorter time periods with others are safer. You may not know who is infected and who is not, so it is better to avoid interaction for a longer period of time to stop the infection from spreading.
Such closed or poorly ventilated spaces should be avoided for everyone’s good, but if we encounter any such widespread transmission it is safer to be cautious. Proper distance and cautious behavior can eradicate the fear of the virus and help us breathe a more healthy sigh of relief. Remember, it is always safer to maintain social distance, sanitize or wash hands regularly, sneeze and cough with a bent elbow, wear a mask and keep the area/room ventilated.
Over To You:
Know your risk to lower your risk. Being aware of your surroundings and making safer choices will surely help prevent the spread of the infection. Stay safe and make safer choices.
