It’s no secret that the festival of lights puts your diet in the backseat. Diwali will feel incomplete without sweets and snacks like ladoos and jalebis, to balance this sweet intake; you can try out certain healthy dessert recipes.   • Lauki kheer: This amazing gluten-free, delicious, healthy kheer recipe suits every occasion and is easy to prepare. The Ingredients are as follows: grated bottle gourd, skimmed milk, jaggery, cardamom powder, and chia seeds. Now start Mixing milk and grated bottle gourd in a deep non-stick pan, cook on a medium flame for 10 to 12 minutes while stirring occasionally. Add jaggery to this mixture. Add chia seeds and cardamom, stir well. Let it cool and refrigerate it for some time. Lauki kheer is ready to be served!
  • Jowar Dates Ladoo: Feel the date-jowar balls explode with yummy taste as you pop them into your mouth. You will require ingredients like jowar flour, seedless dates, chopped almonds and walnuts, ghee, and flax seeds. Start by Dry roasting jowar flour in a pan for 5-10 minutes until golden brown. Stir chopped dates and water in a pan. Once the dates become a thick paste, add roasted jowar flour and chopped nuts. Keep aside for 2 minutes but don’t let it come at room temp otherwise will not be able to make ladoos. Grease your palm with ghee and start making (ladoos). Store in an airtight container and enjoy with your loved ones this Diwali.
  • Beetroot coconut barfi: This beetroot barfi is one of the easiest desserts that even a beginner can try. The colour of this barfi will be so gorgeous that even kids will love it! All you need is grated beetroot, coconut, jaggery, broken cashews, ghee, and cardamom powder. To make this barfi first heat ghee in a pan and add grated beetroot and coconut, sauté till raw smell leaves. Add jaggery, the mixture will turn gooey. Add roasted cashews and cook till the mixture comes together. Transfer the mixture to a try and cut in squares when it’s still warm. Let it cool down and enjoy this juicy delicious barfis!
  • Multigrain Ladoo: Enjoy the goodness of grain as you bite onto these delicious balls of happiness which you can enjoy guilt-free this Diwali. Firstly, heat ghee and roast multigrain flour in a pan. Then, make a thick consistency by boiling jaggery and cardamom powder in a separate pan. Now, mix these into mixtures and add roasted almonds.
