Anahata Chakra leads you to your heart
In the physical body, Anahata Chakra corresponds to the heart, circulatory system, and thymus gland. This is where we harness our ability to give and to receive love. Here we recognize that there is more to life than the fulfilment of “my needs” and that real acts of love can be one-sided without the need for reciprocity.
Location: heart region
Element: Air
Colour: Green
The fourth Chakra, called as heart Chakra, is the energy centre in which we feel love, compassion and joy, not only for others but also for ourselves. It is responsible for your relationship with others and establishes your own self-worth. This Chakra supports our hearts, lungs hands, arms, shoulders and upper torso. An imbalanced heart Chakra causes feelings of low energy, anger, poor digestion and heart issues.
Our fourth Chakra – Anahata Chakra also refers to “Unstruck Sound.” Planets like Venus and Moon are associated with this Chakra.
Anahata Chakra is very sensitive and easily gets blocked especially when we are wounded to protect ourselves from further pain. In the horoscope, if Dashas (planetary periods) of Moon and Venus are placed well can open our heart but if these planets carry emotional wounds they can also close down our heart and their loving patience can change to fear, clinging and self-absorption. Psychological disorders such as Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) involve some dysfunction of the heart Chakra due to the accumulation of negative emotions and lack of love (moon) and comfort (venus) in childhood. To heal this Chakra we have to practice empathy, compassion and most importantly true forgiveness of those who may have hurt us in the past.
